Fuel tanks 97 pursuit

I have a 97 Pursuit with 2 tanks, one in front of the other. The boat is a 28 CC.The rear tank is leaking. There is not enough room to get the tank out without cutting out the floor between the tank cover & fish well. Has any one else had this problem? If so, what was your solution?

I dont think you have any option other than cutting the floor and installing a hatch. Pictures would help though. I think the tanks are installed before the top goes on.
