Looking for how to change out fuel tank sensor on 1995 Seaswirl 201 bow rider

Hopefuly your boat has a hatch over the fuel gauge. If so, pop it off, and remove the 5 self taping screws, holding the sender in place.

SeaSwirl boats often had a plastic tank, with screw threads moulded in. Be careful not to strip those. Some of those plastic tanks had galvanized fittings. These can rust out by now.

Thanks much Chris. Do have the hatch cover but was leery about the wiring before your explanation. Shopping for the sender now.

It is best is you can get a sender made for your fuel tank. Second choice is a universal sender that can be cut to work with your fuel tank. Senders usually have a black ground wire and a pink sender wire.

Check the fuel pickup fitting. On my Seaswirl it was galvanized steel and rotted out.
