About the only part of a boat I have never repaired is a fuel tank. I have to do something with mine in the near future. Over the past year or so my fuel line keeps clogging up. Every few hours I have to pull the hose off at the squeeze ball and blow the line out then she runs fine untill it cloggs again. When it cloggs the engine sucks the ball flat so I am assuming something in my tank is clogging the fuel pickup.
Anyway what I think I will do is pump the tank empty and see if I can see any visible debris in the tank. Then see if I can replace the pick up tube inside the tank. It won't be easy because I only have a small access hole to work through and I really don't want to cut the deck and remove the tank.
I know the first question is going to be is it a fiberglass tank and the answer is no. From what I have read on the Wellcraft forum Wellcraft says they have never used a fiberglass tank in one of their boats.
