fuel tank conversion

i have a 1958 evinrude 35 hp and it uses a pressuized fuel tank. can it be changed from the two line to another type tank and what is required. i do not have any fuel tank at this time.

You would need a fuel pump to use a regular Tank. I'm not sure if one is available for your model. Others may know, so wait for more replys!

Hi Mad Dog,<br /> You'll need to find a fuel pump and intake port cover from a later 35/40hp Johnrude. Not a hard item to find - they used them for several years from1959 into the 1960s. Block off the pressure line to the old tank, install a single line fitting, run your hoses and you're back on the water!<br />- Scott
