i have a 1958 evinrude 35 hp and it uses a pressuized fuel tank. can it be changed from the two line to another type tank and what is required. i do not have any fuel tank at this time.
Mad dog, Try some of the used motor places for fuel pumps. I heard that around the time they started using regular tanks in '58 they had a trade in program. you could trade your tank in for a fuel pump.

http://www.twincityoutboard.com
http://www.laingsoutboards.com/
Hi Mad Dog,
You'll need to find a fuel pump and intake port cover from a later 35/40hp Johnrude. Not a hard item to find - they used them for several years from1959 into the 1960s. Block off the pressure line to the old tank, install a single line fitting, run your hoses and you're back on the water!
- Scott
