Fuel pump

I have a 1993 50 hp evinrude that the previous owner has removed the vro system. I need a new fuel pump and I would like to use a non VRO pump due to the cost. Is this possible and if so what part number should I look for. Would I need to modify anything else with the fuel system?

What is your model number?
The parts breakdown I looked at shows a pulse type pump, but I am not sure if the model number is the same.

You can get kits to repair the fuel side of vro.
