1985 Johnson 150GT Model J150 stlco, The vro2 has been diconnected for about 5 years, as I am running about half speed there is no problem but a full speed the engine acts like it is running out of fuel if I pump the bulb up she will run fine for a while and then do it again. Sounds like a fuel pump problem to me but not for sure.
My question is can I purchase just a fuel pump or do I need to purchase another vro2 even though I am not using the oil side.
Thanks Nebtnman

Re: fuel pump

You can use the standard small fuel pumps but you will need 2 of them. Or you can purchase the fuel/oil style pump without the oil side. Or you can get the fuel/oil pump and start injecting the oil.

Dont ya love choices?

Re: fuel pump

Thanks, could you tell me the part numbers for the small fuel pumps or the fuel/oil without the oil and where to purchase them. I have been looking on this site but did not find the fuel/oil without the oil.

Re: fuel pump

To use the small standard pumps you have to make sure the opening in the front half of the block can be opened to hook up the second pulse line. It should have a pipe plug in it now.

The fuel pump that looks like the oil injection pump is 438402.
