Can get engine to start by choking, and will run for a short time before engine quits. Then I will pump fuel bulb, and choke engine again to restart motor, again it will only run for a short time. Is this a possible bad fuel pump?

If you can keep it running by pumping the bulb its probably the fuel pump or air in-leakage into the fuel line maybe the connection at the engine end.

If you can keep it going with the choke it is likely to be a dirty carb.
