i also meant to ask what the fuel mix is for my 1971 Evinrude 6hp fisherman. i think it is 25:1?? maybe 24:1??<br /><br />thanks<br />robarchibald@hotmail.com

You guys think too much about what could go wrong/bad. It has nothing to do with how good the oil is, just that plain bearings need a good oil layer to function properly. <br />It isn't as bad as the 4hp as it does have roller bearings on the big end of the connecting rod, but the small rod end, middle and bottom main bearing are all babbitt. It also has proper crankcase seals at both ends.
