Re: fuel mix ratios

If its truly a Gamefisher and an Eska, it's from the 1970's. That would male it in the 50:1 era. Problem is your model number doesn't compute! (at least not from the 3 minutes I spent googling)

Contact Sears or try AOMCI.org and post the question there.

Fresh 24::1 doesn't smoke badly, especially with underwater exhaust. Let your gas can of 24::1 sit all winter and then run it, if you want to see smoke.

Re: fuel mix ratios

Early Eskas were air cooled Clinton or Tecumseh powerheads, if you want to broaden your research. I would recommend a 16:1 mix (8 ounces of oil per gallon). That's a rich mix, but not so remarkable -- my '57 Evinrude 7 1/2 takes that mix. I really recommend against 50:1.

btw: Do a search or two here on iBoats for Eska (and Clinton, and Techumseh.) I haven't done that, but it might be instructive. The AOMCI site could be very useful, as indicated above.

Re: fuel mix ratios

My after market manual says all motors 65-69 use a 16:1 ratio.1970 -73 is 24:1, 74 on is 32:1 using TCW3 rated oil.
My info indicates the first 7.5 Sears motor appeared in 71.

Re: fuel mix ratio

found a crosswalk for Sears, with no Eskas shown prior to '68 -- and my list only goes to '68. So let's see -- could be Eskas after '68, and they could conceivably take a leaner mix as Steelespike indicates. Maybe a picture would help. Not sure when Sears started with the Game Fisher name/line, but that might provide a clue. I'm not seeing that number anywhere.
