I just moved into a 2001 Q7 with 5.0l Mercruiser. My boat has an 18 gallon tank which seems small. What kind of fuel usage should I expect just on average cruise.
My 2006 Q6 has a 46 gallon tank. Are you sure on that fuel tank size? Other 5.0 owners can comment on the fuel econmy which for boats is in gallons per hour.
Not positive. I look down in the back and saw the tank. It has a plate on it that says 18 gallons. I have not filled it up yet as I just got it today. I thought that seems very small though. Maybe theres more than one under there but that doesn't seem right either. I suppose it could have said 48 gallons and I didn't see it clearly but we'll see. Thanks for the reply !!
Yep, every 2007 Q7 I have seen on the internet shows a 48 gallon fuel capacity. Now if some 5.0 owners can give some feedback on fuel performance you'll be all set. My 4.3L V6 does great on fuel.
My 2010 Taho 195 with a 2009 5.0 MPI used 8 gallons per hour at 3000 RPM/32 MPH on a recent trip on Lake Powell. I ran 67 miles each way non-stop. Started the trip with 48 gallons of gas and 4 adults.
Wow guess I shouldn't have complained about the 5 gph my old mercruiser 470 was getting After a little elbow grease on the tag it does say 48 Gal tank. Thanks for the replies !!
