I was thinking of just changing it all since I think some of it is about 10+ years old. Replacing with 1/4" like it currently has.
  • any recommendation on fuel line brand ?
  • Fuel tank connection is in the bilge. do you think 15' is enough or would I need more than that ?
  • what size is the line between the 2 carbs ?

I would go for 3/8 if it will be longer then 2-3 meter (8-10 foot). Then engine could starve because of low flow of fuel especially at higher RPM.
But if the current is 1/4 and it works then go for 1/4.

I am in Sweden and can not recommend any brand. I know you use more ethanol in US then we use here in Scandinavia.
But go for a better quality, I think it will last longer than cheaper brands.

Auto Zone has e-rated hose.
Just specify ethanol proof
From the tank to the motor it shouldn't be 15ft.
But while your replacing take the left over and replace the lines to the carb and the hoses between the carbs.
Oh yea install a filter between the carb and pump.

the line from the tank to primer is 7' and is 2010 (seems ok)
the line from the primer to pump is 3' and is 2006
the line from the fuel pump to carbs is 28" and is 2006

the 2006 stuff seems harder especially from pump to carbs

1. I would change the three squeeze clamps to hose clamps.
2. You should get USCG rated fuel hose, if it's in the budget. I think the best fuel line is something like A1-10
3. Im not sure what the big hose with the arrow is for or does. Guessing a fuel drain?

I believe it is a pressure equalizer line.

I changed out all the lines in my boat and engine last year.

Boat fuel line is rated for longer time in a fire before it burns through than automotive fuel line.

Just a few bucks more for the marine rated vs the automotive.

Fire on a boat is something to be avoided....

fmt2bx is right: equalizer tube.
When adjusting the air screws it should be pinched off.

Ah!!! Jerryjerry05, didn't know that it should be pinched wile adjusting air screw, good tip, thanks!

Let me tell you about these squeeze clamps!!!

Last year after after replacing the fuel lines started to experience difficulties starting the motor when cold. !?!. No problem when motor was warm , only first start was almost impossible. After a close look , the chokes were moving but not all the way. I was about to replace the solenoid when I found out that one of the squeeze clamp was in the way of the chokes rod!!! :embarassed::embarassed::embarassed::embarassed:
Just had to turn it a bit to be out of the way. Just FYI.

1. Get the best USCG approved fuel line, if there's ever an accident you want to be right in the court of law.
2. Use hose clamps.
