fuel line

I'm trying to install a new omc fuel line, but I dont know how the line connects to the engine. I installed a new brass male fitting on the tank, but how does the fuel line with the female connector connect to the fuel line coming out of my engine? The line coming out of the engine is just a standard fuel line. Thanks

The 1988 140 did not have a quick disconnect because of restricting the flow; the hose ran directly to the fuel pump and was clamped using hose ties with special ramped faces, or was rigged with a tubular H connection for extending the hose. If you want to add the male quick disconnect, the fitting is part number 0393334.

The quick disconnect adapter kit is part # 398339

Thank you for the quick response. You even knew my engine! If I dont want to add the quick disconnect could I just cut it off of my line? Thanks again
