Fuel line tubing question: B1-15

I recently had my motor cut out and could only get it running by priming continuously. Turned out it was the fuel pickup line which was almost completely disintegrated. I went to West Marine for a replacement and they only had B1-15 line which is what I used for the new fuel pickup line. I needed to get it running for this weekend.

Does anyone have an idea of how long this line will last submerged in fuel? Or will this line likely hold up long enough for the season?

I realize it is for "above deck" use but I believe that is only because it doesn't have the fire retardant coating that A1 line does.

Thanks for any advice, or experiences using this line when submerged in fuel.

im not sure about the b1 lne.....the canadian stuff might be different...

you are looking for a green stripe on the line......that is marine....

if it does not have the green stripe......use it this weekend.....then replace it.

Re: Fuel line tubing question: B1-15

Thank you,

I did buy the tubing in Seattle, not sure if that makes a difference with the green stripe on it or not. It is marine tubing but not sure on the degradation of it in fuel. I will replace it as soon as I can locate the proper replacement tubing.

Thanks,
