I have a 25hp 3cylinder Johnson , last night when I went to pump the ball before starting it was pushing air into the tank and leaking were it connects to the tank. It started and ran fine and no leaks. It only did this when I pumped the ball. Do I need a new connector on the fuel line?

Not knowing what tank you have, if it has two little pins that get pushed in when you connect the hose, your symptoms suggest the seal around the pin is leaking. Quite common on that type of tank. Simple job to repair the tank outlet

F_R was referring to an OMC tank which you don't have, so unfixable. Looking closer at your fuel line end piece, it looks deformed. Might replace that.
What I don't understand is you state that it is "pushing air into the tank". If it's pushing air than the check valve has failed in the primer bulb on your hose or more likely you are hearing a suction noise with some leaking. Probably time for a new tank and hose.

Try a new end but primer ball check valve may not be working allowing gas to go wrong direction.....or live with a leak.
Ok thx . It only leaked when pumping the ball and depending on which way I move the hose it works fine.

You might try adding zip ties at the bulb and the connector. Regular type OK -- tighten with a bladed screwdriver to hold and a pliers to pull.

Why take a chance in a fuel leak ?? Fire and boats do not go together well !! Just bite the bullit and get a new hose and squeeze bulb and be safe. No sense risking your life or your passengers !!

Why would I do that? It was the connecter which I changed. Times are hard enough these days for most ppl. I'm not into wasting money.

Well seeing how the problem is fixed bud there's about as much chance of my boat starting on fire as yours.

We used to replace the wee o-ring in the fitting.-----Today folks just go out and buy a new hose / bulb assembly.-----Spend $50 instead of $1.00.
