Fuel leak in 84-80hp Merc inline 4

I am getting some fuel pooling and draining out the holes below the powerhead. I have viewed the external hoses and they seem fine. 2 summers ago, I had an internal hose replaced that leaked significantly. How do I inspect where the leak is coming from?

It's normal for the carbs to spill fuel out, as the motor is tilted up. Try running with the fuel hose disconnected for a minute or so, to burn-off some of this fuel, and see if the spillage you described stops.
