There are two hoses where you put gas in; the main one, roughly 2" diameter and another, smaller hose just above it. What is this smaller hose for because mine just became disconnected from the other end and i can't see where it should be going.

Thanks,
Jeff

That is the air vent. You should have a small fitting on the hull just behind the fill cap. The smaller hose should connect here.

Thank you. It is the other end which has broken off , this connects to the fuel tank?
Also, there is a hose leading from something else on the hull, just behind the fuel intake. Sorry for my naivety but I didn't get an introduction when I bought the Tahoe.

thanks again, Jeff

My Tahoe Q6 has a 1/2" or so fitting on the fuel tank next to the 2" fitting that the vent should be connected to. I don't know what that other hose is for unless it is a compartment drain - My boat has a ice cooler under the rear middle seat and a hose that drains from it to the bilge that lies over the fuel tank.

If it is the fuel vent hose that is loose at the tank it should be easily fixed by just putting back on the tank. It will go on the tank next to the 2 in. hose. If this the vent hose gas would be leaking in the motor well. Knowing the boat and you have no gas leak or fume problem in the motor well:eek: I believe the hose you are talking about is the drain hose from the tank below the aft port, right side faceing the motor , raise the small cushion , pour water in this tank to see if water goes into the motor well , maybe even the center floor locker. If so with this hose loose the boat can sink. This hose hook to this tank in the same ares as the fuel hose ,could be confused by a newbe.Reach in motor well behind this tank there is some grey foam , pull the foam loose where you can see the fitting on this tank ,you should be able to loosen the clamp enough to slide the hose back on and tighten clamp back. Add some type of sealer to the hose when put back on.
