Kinda at a loss on how best to deal with this problem.
Have a 190HP(470) that i changed to a alternator and replaced all the fuel hoses.
Where the Alt now sits there is no clear path that the Fill/Vent hoses can run. I can run them under the Alt but then that makes a low point that will always have fuel in them. I think that is not right and possibly not legal?
I have room to run the lines from the tank with a immediate 30ish Deg angle the hoses can make to about 12in starboard then i need a 90Deg elbow and the fuel hose will not bend that much.
So im wondering what i could use that is ABYC/USCG approved that i can make that 90d turn with or am i just over thinking this?

Ayuh,..... It appears that if you use a shortish belt to keep the tension bolt up high on the bracket, you'll have the space you need,.....

The alternator is hanging at the lowest it can go now. Put the belt on and see what clearance you have. Still tight - Try a shorter belt as Bondo said.

I can try a shorter belt but i actually do not think that will work. That was my first thought.
The geometry of the alt kit in not right. with the alt up all the way about another inch inch and a half the belt just barely fits on as is and i don't think i can get a shorter belt on
