Fuel gauge not working

Have 2016 Bennington fuel gauge reads correct till tank gets in 20 gallon range it jumps around will read 28 then 26 or 21 and never reads below 20 gallons which caused me to run out of gas. New fuel tank float and sending unit is $300-$400. Any cheap fixes!

Do it yourself for a lot less.

OR....every couple of hours stop for fuel. Don't need to fix it then...cost is $0 in parts/labor.

$60….5 screws and two wire nuts and you done

No doubt. I think I paid even less for the sender I replaced in my boat. Assuming you have easy access to it the job is super easy.

I bought one (reed) and I am not too happy with it . It was accurate for 3 months and now all over the place.

Solid state….nothing to break, per say. They either work or nothing at all
