My fuel gage is going to empty then back to it's proper reading as if the wire is being connected then reconnected. The tach wasn't working now it is and I seem to be ovwercharging at 17 to 18 volts and thwe battery is very warm. Any Ideas?
As for the charging voltage, it would be helpful to know what engine you are talking about. As for the fuel gauge, some of them, mine included, bounce considerably with less than half tank of fuel. Not much you can do about it.
mine is a 1990 115 merc. the gage isn't bouncing it is going to zero then back to proper reading. I just put this motor back on after having it Rebuilt and think maybe I have tach wire wrong or something like that
