When I winterize my BF 130a should I replace the external and two internal fuel filters as part of winterizing now, or in the spring when I launch?

If you are going to store it for more than 3 months, you probably should drain the vapor seperator as it holds fuel that can go bad. Other wise be sure to add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel and run the engine for 10-15 minutes to distrubite it.

GSS,

Is there any magic to draining the vapor seperator?

The owners manual says to put the drain hose outside the cowling, loosen the screw, tilt the engine up and to the starboard side, watch for fuel to start flowing, then lower the engine to allow siphon to finish the draining of fuel then close the screw up tight and reclip the drain hose.

I usually pull that stuff out and off motor in fall and replace so in the spring we're ready to go. But I do keep an eye on it during the season and change out when necessary.
