Sorry ... Looked through past treads but couldn't find what I was looking for though Im sure its been posted.

Im doing a carb rebuild and figured I should change out the fuel filters while I was in there.
Im assuming the filter is under the black cap in the picture? If so, do you just remove the
screws to get at it? Do I need to buy any gaskets as well as a new filter?

As I noticed in another post, Don mentioned there's another filter in the carb.
Where and how do I access it?

Re: Fuel filter

clip the safety wire and unscrew the top, the bracket rotates so you can pull off the cover - the filter and gasket are in there

quicksilver replacement filters come with gaskets, dont know about other brands

be sure to install a stainless safety wire when you are done

the filter in your rochester carb is in the front where the fuel line enters, 5/8" flare wrench on the line fitting, 1" open ended or rochester filter housing wrench on the filter housing - be sure to use a flare wrench on the line fitting, cant tell you how many ive seen stripped out from adjustable wrenches or worse, vise grips
