Which of the many fuel filter systems that are available would give me the most "bang for my buck" on a 1986 Force 125 hp outboard? The motor is on a 19' Bayliner with a 32 gal internal fuel tank.
I would highly recommend a water seperator/ filter system. You can get them fairly inexpensive here at iboats mega mall. They have replaceable cartridges similar to an oil filter in looks. I'm not an expert so if I were you I would wait for people to respond that know more what they are talking about and see what they have to say.
What rottenray said.
Water separating filter.

Some like the Racor style, but you need a little extra room for it, so you can get a pan/can below it to drain it.

I feel the Quicksilver brand filters do an adequate job and are a little cheaper.

Whichever you get, make sure you can get replacement filters, and keep one or two on hand.
