Re: Fuel Costs????

Boating is a lifestyle choice, and if you spend any time on the water you WILL spend more than you thought you would. Good for you for getting your budget lined up before you start.

My guess, with that boat and that useage, you'll spend $50-$100/day on fuel, depending on how much watersports you do. Worth every penny. A good therapist would cost a lot more and you wouldn't have as much fun. Ramen noodles are better than no boating; keep your priorities straight. :D

Since it sounds like gas costs are a concern to you, I'd suggest screwing a coffee can onto your deck somewhere with a "Gas Donation" sign hanging from the side. That'll help remind your friends that this activity is neither cheap nor free and you'd appreciate any help.

tinkerguy70 - Most people who don't own a boat believe that they run on "thanks!"
LOL!!!

I'm OK with that, and don't expect anyone to pay when I offer to do an excursion. It's funny to see the faces when they ask how much gas you went through. They can do there own math......
