I will take off vent hose at filler, put gas in it and see if it all drains to tank! That should tell if there's a low point.....it does kind of go a little low right before the tank... I may hv. To reroute it to other side of fill hose which would bring it up an inch or so....

Replaced sending unit... Same thing... Must b a mismatch with tank... Float won't go all the way up to indicate full. Oh we'll, a 50.00 lesson...

What does that mean? Is the float arm hanging up? Might be hitting a baffle inside the tank. I had that issue with mine when I replaced the sender. I finally switched to a reed type sending unit and my gauge is now accurate to within 1/16.

Unfortunately, it is a reed type...next step is to replace it with the swinging arm type I guess.....it's only money! Hey, anyone need a perfectly good used 6 inch reed type sending unit? Didn't think so..........I don't either......regards to all. Over and out....
