When I change my fuel and water sep. I have to use all the muscle me and friends have to get that thing lose. I do not tighen the new one like that. I know on my truck it's pretty easy to break free. Is there something I can do to make it easyer to get off I am afraid one time on a sunday when theres nobody open I might break the metal part that the filter screws onto. Thanks for any help...

Stasson - Might think about getting a new unit. Mine screws on and off just like an oil filter on a car. I put some motor oil on the rubber gasket when I install it. Also is the metal part secured to somewhere? Are you using a filter strap wrench?
