I bought an Evinrude 115 Ficht engine in the fall of 2001. Since the first day I bought it, it has always had problems with the engine missing, especially at higher rpm. I have had it back to two mechanics under warranty and the following has been done:<br />1. uploaded new software<br />2. new fuel pump<br />3. new vapour separator & lift pump<br />4. new prop<br />5. new spark plugs<br />None of these has solved the problem. The best way to describe the problem is that it seems like I am dragging a bait bucket. I feel slight hesitations as does everyone who rides with me.<br />People on shore always comment "what is wrong with your motor?" It apparently makes regular pops when someone on shore is listening.<br />Finally - this problem is subtle enough that it only happens at the higher rpm. It starts great and jumps out of the hole perfectly.<br />Is this electrical or fuel related? Any help would be greatly appreciated.<br />Peter
