I am a believer in the 3m Super Duty Rubbing compound no. Combined with the 3m Finesse they really brought out the color in my boat. So here are some Before pics.

This is after the rubbing compound and finesse. I have only done the top half (Green Part) and i have yet to polish it. Ill try to take some better pics in when there is more daylight.

8) Great stuff...kinda like it was formulated for gel. Try using a mcquires foam buffing pad slick stuff very slick. Nice job.......8)

Also, if you want to get real crazy, get some body shop glazing compound (stuff we have is green and smells nice) with a foam pad and its crazy the depth it adds to the color in one pass.

One of the best things you can do! It is rewarding to step back and look at what you have done. Nice Job!! The photos provide a great record of what is possible.

For next time (if anyone is interested), 3M makes a product called High Gloss Gelcoat Compound. You can't get this at West Marine and you have to special order it, but this stuff is great. Unless you have a dark colored hull you don't need the intermediate step of polishing (finesse-it) and you can go straight to waxing.

BTW: With finesse-it can be used as a polish with a 3m yellow polishing pad.
