fresh water leak

fresh water sprays out around the cap on the heat exchanger . this is a AQ 125 hoses r open cap looks fine ! any suggestions on what may cause this?

Is it hot?
If not hot, remove the cap and start the engine. Do you see a lot of bubbles?

it ran hot ! i had hit a sand bar then it started running hot ! checked the impeller it's fine !

if your heat exchanger is like a radiator on a car
aka fresh water cooled
i believe don is trying to see if you blew your head gasket or possibly warped your head
This could have happened when you hit the sand bar and overheated the engine
The air bubbles are from the piston on the compresson stroke
If you can, borrow a sniffer that reads hydrocarbons
If you read hydrocarbons in your cooling system your head and or head gasket is the problem
Pressure builds up and releases thru your cap

have you checked the gasket on the cap itself
sometimes its the simple things

checked everything mentioned!!!! found out exhaust manifold was stopped up not letting fresh water flow thru!!! THANKS for the help
