We were lucky as for as flooding as a lot of the surrounding areas did get water in their houses. We also got power and cable back within 18 hours.
There are still plenty outages around. The flooding overwelms the drainage to a point that it also overtops the sewer system where toilet flushing is stopped. The Lake Ponthartrain levee is behind our house and the run off from the rain for about 2 hours turned my driveway into a river. For every hurricane I lock the gates open so the wind does not blow them apart.
if you google earth overhead 606 Carmenere Dr. 70065 you will get an idea how high the levee is.

The truck has a 04 CV clip. 4R70W/ 3.50 Detroit locker. Slapper bars, it hooks up. 4 wheel disc brakes Hydro boost. On it’s 5th engine transmission combination.
The 67 XL has a 92 CV clip. 3.70 Traction lock 4 wheel disc brakes Hydroboost. There was no way the 32 valve 4.6 would fit. I have seen some real butcher jobs with that engine in other Fords, gave me dry heaves.
