pertronix has a kit. mine failed in 3 months on the OMG 3.0 and went back to points

i also would rule out pertronix , i have had dodgy kits with that brand as well.
there must be another kit available for this motor or automotive equivalent ?
a google search should turn up something suitable for the OP.
there are cheap china kit s from fleabay i have had good results in the past with automotive conversions.
since OP has to do rewiring , may as well upgrade the system to something a bit more modern..

I don't rely on Pertronix for marine applications. Points are simple, and easy to fix on the water. Have a spare point and condenser in the boat. Pertronix are good for other missions like a tractor, which rarely goes very far or fast.
