I have an 1984 19ft ski boat with an 1985 inboard outboard mercruiser mr outrive (same as alpha 1)

it has a 19p prop on it now which turns too much rpm's wot (5,000 rpm)

will this 21p prop work? and is the vengence model as good as mercurys laser and other models? what is this vengence model suited for?

my boat with the 19p prop runs 51mph wot at 5,000 rpm looking for a bit more top speed and to lower my wot rpm's

not sure if this helps but here is my boat and the current 19p prop. I am new to this stuff but I think that prop will work what would be a good price on it?

It will fit if you buy the right prop hub for it.
It should drop your rpms by maybe 200 or so but no telling about top speed.

thanks,

He says on the write up it's a 14" but I think that part number brings up it is 13 3/4"

think mine now is a 14" 19p

does that matter? what does the size difference do is that the entire diameter?

He said a marine shop quoted him $55 for the hub and all for it. Think it's worth $150 bucks without the hub and all?

Mercury wants $500 and Ed's Marine sells the Vengence for $350 new. It's easily worth $150 in perfect condition. The Vengence is a very good all around prop suitable for sterndrives and bigger 4-stroke outboards.

1/4 of an inch in diameter will not be a problem.

YES...please post what engine you have...

Re: found a prop on ebay I think will work help please.

Oh sorry guys...

The engine is a 350 chevy 260r rated at 260hp. The drive is a 1.5 gear outdrive.

currently with my setup with a 19p prop it tops out at 50-51mph per gps and turns 5,000 rpm which is too much at WOT top speed..hence the reason for a 21p prop.

hopeing the 21p prop will get me a couple more mph faster too.

thing I'm not sure about is the vengence is a good all around prop but what about like the laser II and mirage PLUS would those get me a little faster than the vegence would?

think mine now is a 14" but most 21p's are 13 3/4 so I guess thats ok. Is it being worth $150 easy taking into account you will need to buy a $84 torque force hub set too? I got to take that into account.

thanks

ended up bying the prop and with shipping and all it was $202, plus the cost of the hub.
