They obvisouly can't that's why they are so close to shore . Which could work like this, they are using the shore as a guide. I wonder how that thing handles wakes.

Needs a little work but, it looks kinda like fun for a affordable price to me. Be better as a floating dock really thing. Anchor it in the lake and row out to it.
