My local Gander Mountain is trying to get rid of a 2008 Tahoe 216 WT with the 5.0 liter carbed Mercruiser with the Alpha one outdrive. With the trailer they're asking $27,000 and I'm probably going to offer $25,000.
I found a tahoe dealer about 40 miles from me that I can use for service since Gander mountain says they aren't going to be selling boats anymore.
I've been a boat owner for years and recently had to dump my 83 SeaRay due to a bad engine. after dealing with an old boat for years I'm thinking It would be nice to not have to worry about breaking down all the time and just enjoy the boat.
I love the layout of the 216. I've read through all the posts on here about the Tahoes and for the most part they seem positive. Everything I've read from boating magazines and such give the newer Tahoes good ratings.
So, the big question, should I do this deal or keep looking?
Thanks for any input.
Pete
