2000 Formula BR 280, twin 350 Mag with Bravo 3s. Need to pull the starboard engine as I have coupler that will align but is off when turned 180*, and then back in alignment when back 360* around.

Going to replace the coupler but what else do I need to do when in there? Exhaust boots? Shutters?

i just upgraded to the stainless swivel shaft pins ( can be done with engines in boat and no cuts or cover plates) as they were rusted enough to damage seals and were just starting to leak into boat. Luckily no other damaged componets.

Also did a full bellows transom service.

What else do I need to do when I have the cap off and SB engine out?

You will have a good opportunity to . . .

Go over the engine and inspect all the hard to see/reach places.
Replace exhaust manifold bolts, if the existing ones look really rusty.
Pop out the core plugs and flush out any sand/sediment in the cooling passages
Replace manifold/riser gaskets and check the manifold/elbow joints.
Touch-up paint as needed.
Dress-up any sloppy wiring
Find a bunch of 'lost' tools at the bottom of the bilge near the transom :)

Others may have some additional suggestions.
