Ain't it funny about these boats, outside looks great! inside looks like transom, floor, seats, etc. looks like a fun project. Look forward to the upfit. welcome to the cult
It is funny how many times the outside looks good and then the first look inside is accompanied with a few gasps. After you catch your breath and look closer, you realize than 4 sheets of plywood (smaller SC's) and some wood protection and you're back in business. Well, add some seats and a couple of other things too.
Looks like a good resto is coming up, Kick. The drydock has space available. And have fun!
Ok so day 1, it was fun, and maddening all at the same time! LOL I got the transome out (boy that was fun!) and the wood floor and all the foam out. It was not as hard as I thought just different. You just have to remember you are working with aluminum (softer metal) and think out side the box. Other then dirty it was a productive day. Here is some pics
Thanks Bar, ya I got a little excited. Wow really is like no foreplay. LOL Will vacuum it out and pressure wash inside. But trying to iron out my #3 cylinder no spark on the force 85.
And much to my surprise I enjoy this more then restoring a car.
Thay all slow down when the $$$ start losing themsevles in the hands of boat supply mafia, plywood, epoxy, paint tools.wire, shiney things, Admiral starts wondering where the grocery money is...LOL, welcome to the insanity
