I bought the billet igniter 2 so is it possible to switch it to points to give that a whirl. This is my second dizzy for this engine. First one was warranty for what seems to be the same problem

I've heard ignitior II's are unreliable. Why I went with an Ignitor (I) dropped into the stock prestolite marine distributor.

Also, the ignitor version needs to match the flame thrower version... the coil resistances are different.

Interesting do you have to swap a points distributor or can u put points in igniter 2 ?

As mentioned seem to see a lot of discussion on GTO forum in on similar issues. The guys who run points also say they have better luck with old NOS points vs what is made now so no free lunch

Either way given your comments think it would be worth a trial. Would be interested to see if you get a skip or miss on timing light and if the gap tester shows weak spark

My coil matches my dizzy and once I get the spark tester I'll find out if it's bad I suppose
