Ford 302 closed cooling system thermostat housing

I have been looking all over the place to replace my housing and have not found the proper one. I have posted on here about it before and figured I'd try again. Here is a pic of the one I need.

Without a kit number for the closed cooling system it's nah-on impossible to find you a part number for that housing.

Maybe we could start with WHICH 302? (there were 4 variants released between 1971 and 1974)

Well, I do believe I got lucky, first kit parts breakdown I looked at....

Looks like the part number is -67465A1, and of course it's NLA.

My crate engine says from 68-91 302 standard rotation. Windsor firing order.

What was the Mercruiser engine it's replacing? Is it an 888, 215, 225 or 225-S?

That's an engine casting number, not a serial number. Look HERE for the engine serial number location and format.
