I got a Bayliner Capri, 1990 with a 1990 force 90 L drive. I got a problem though, the lower unit appears to be stuck on, I want it off to change the impeller. I removed the gear linkage, then the 6 bolts, then the one hidden in the exhaust / tab, I expected the thing to fall off, no luck. Even the biggest tyre lever won't move it. Have I missed anything? or any tips, your help will be much appreciated!

Apart from the above problem I just got the engine running fine! Bought it as a non-runner, needed a new flywheel (centre magnet wrecked). The things people do, the guy I bought it from thought it was a carb problem!! He had the 3 carbs in bits in a bag complete with reed block etc! I also changed the pump diaphragm, it needed the 3 new valves too as it struggled at wide open throttle, it goes OK now, the boat is a little under powered though I think! Max 35 MPH, pulls a skier fine though with 6 on board.

What about this for justice - when I bought the boat it had a full tank of the oldest oilyiest fuel, I was wondering about getting it out to fill up with fresh when the next time I turned the ignition it read only 1/4 full, guage & senser both ok, took 60 litres to fill it! Some loser had siphoned the tank! There was a guy on my site with a jetski that suddenly wouldn't run hmmmm? Blocked carbs, oily plugs! Whoever took it deserves a bucket load of sludge in their tank & probably got it!
