force 85hp, '86

i was at the lake and reaching adequate speed when my engine stalled and would not turn on. just a day before we were at the lake and the engine was doing fine. what could it be?<br />

The first thing you will need is a manual and a new impeller. Also you should change the thermostat and thermostat gasket. When you remover the lower unit and get to the impeller you want to make sure all the old impeller is there. If not you will need to flush motor and try to get all the debris out of the water system. When you get all this done if motor dont run you should check the compression of the motor. <br /><br />Please make all your replys to this post here instead of starting a different thread. Good luck
