Before I brake something.. Is there anything Holding This thing together Other then the obvious?
I removed all the Bolts Water pump Plates Cover I can see the Bearing on the Drive shaft and the bearing is loose but it isn't coming out. I just want to verify that I'm not missing something before I force this thing apart. Same with the Output shaft Its not moving either.

1985 85 Hp Force
Do you need any other information I'm assuming that this is a 1985 Engine since the boat is a 1985

The year is probably right. Get a parts diagram.
Called drive shaft and prop shaft.
The carrier on prop shaft should just pull out.
The drive shaft won't come out until the pinion gear/nut is removed.
Why take it apart???

What Happens if #32 is unscrewed?
It is already out!
The Coupling (#49) will have come loose and Yoke/Shift-pin has fallen inside the LU

You'll have to remove the gear assembly reverse/prop-shaft/dog-clutch but you can leave the Drive-shaft/pinion-gear and forward-gear.

Tilt the Lower-unit with the opening to the sky and move it around, with aid of a flashlight you will find the Yoke that has fallen off the shift-pin when the Pivot-pin(#32) was accidentally removed.

Now the tricky part (as the yoke is not magnetic) to fish it out trough the prop shaft opening from the forward-gear.

Once the pivot-pin is back in its place and the Coupling moves back and forth as it should, apply a small amount of marine-grease on the yoke/shift-pin(to keep it from falling off) also make sure the yoke's opening is facing down

Have the coupling facing toward the shift-pin and yoke(moving it in place by puling/pushing the Shift-shaft
now slowly start pushing the prop-shaft and all parts attached into the lower-unit.

Make sure!! the yoke lines up with the coupler behind the forward-gear, when it latches together; you'll see the shift-shaft come up

Patience & steady hands are required - results may vary
Good luck :)

You are going to need one for sure!
Many of us on this form made that mistake(including me) and removed that pin, mostly because it "looks like? the drain plug
Maybe the were "trying to "fix" the lower-unit and did more harm than good and after realizing that.......off loaded the motor

Back in 1998 I had a screwdriver on that screw, broke it loose, then thought about it.....consulted the manual, then tightened it back down. Almost screwed the pooch on that one. Lol

Should my next move be to pull the prop shaft out or worry about this missing pin?
My thought is pull the prop shaft! cause if its not fixable, why worry about the Pin?

Could someone have ran this motor and drove the boat with the "Pin" not in place ?
The answer to this could make a big difference in whether or not the person that I bought this boat from knew there was a problem or not.

If the pin was removed and someone tried shifting ??
It might have gone into gear, maybe not but that's all that they'd get.
So YES he probably knew the pin was misssing.

You will have to pull the prop-shaft!! and see why its "frozen"
Check for damage on the gears & look for it, like I said earlier

Your gonna have to drop the lower unit, remove the front cover then reset the yoke on the end of the prop shaft use assembly grease, regular grease won't melt easily and can gum up the works. .
Get a parts diagram and a service manual.
Clymer and Seloc are the last choice in manuals..
Oh yea have fun!!!
Just make sure the new screw has a good seal or o-ring.
