FORCE 70 HP 1991 stator replacement

I need to replace the stator (black,#398-5454A58) on my Force 70 HP
model 706X91B ,serial #016613.
The offer I got is a (red) stator kit #398-832075A7 with price $580.
Do I have a other option?

There are after market stators available.
Google search : Force Stator Assembly, 176-3095 Under $200
I think this is the correct part #, but not sure.

Contact the vendor and double check that it will work with your motor.

Or google : 174-8778K1 (9 amp) & 174-9710K1 (16 amp) Stators

These are from another manufacturer.

There were a few companies selling the complete ignition system as an overstock, for about $500.

you will find they make quality stator and switch boxes far more cost effective than ordering factory parts
