Hi, I am new to this forum. I just purchased a boat recently with a Force 50hp outboard. It is white with electric start, non-tiller. I can't seem to figure out how to take the motor cover off. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, John

There should be a lever that you press down on the back of the cowling. Then just lift from back to front.

Good Luck!

White force should be the same as the Chrysler: Under the steering snout will be a lever. Turn it--I forget which way-- but turn it and lift the front ,then slide the cover back a bit to release the rear catch and lift off.

Got it! Thank you for the fast replies. Came off easily. I was looking at all the wrong places.
