Force 50 1990 piston replacment

Does the powerhead have to be removed to change out the pistons???

No. You might be able to fix it like it is. Do a quality job and remove the head and service the whole block.Replace the old rings on both pistons.There was a reason the piston went bad.You might have blocked fuel passages,clogged cooling etc.Jerry
