If I remember correctly, on my 88 Force 125, if you turn it to the Right it is going to go closer to the TDC, if I turn it to the left, it is going closer to the 32 degree mark.

Hope this helps you. I have mine set dead on at 30, and it seems to be running funny, I need to tweak it a little bit more.
