FORCE 125 WOT PROBLEMS

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP I HAVE A 1987 125 FORCE OUTBOARD. IT STARTS AND IDLES GREAT. WHEN I GO FULL THROTTLE IT WILL GET MY 19 FOOT BAYLINER UP ON PLANE FOR ABOUT 100 YARDS AND THEN BOG DOWN. I HAVE REPLACE THE FUEL LINES, FILTER, PRIMER BULB AND SPARK PLUGS. I CAN DO THIS REPETIVELY. IF I SLOW DOWN TO IDLE FOR 20-30 SECONDS I CAN GO BACK TO WOT FOR SAME 100 YARDS AND THE N BOG DOWN MOTOR WILL NEVER STALL. HELP PLEASE!

IF THE FUEL PUMP WAS BAD WOULDN'T IT STARVE FOR FUEL AT LOWERSPEEDS ALSO ? DOUES IT PUMP FUEL SOMEWHERE AND DTORE IT SO I CAN RUN WOT FOR 100 YARDS

it could pump enough to idle but not enough to throttle. for example if you get 3mpg at 30mph then that's equal to 3 cups per minute. If your pump can only do 1cup per minute then the engine would idle fine and fill up the carb bowls. Then you punch it and get another 100 yards of WOT before running out of gas. sputter, sputter, ack, ack and you drop back down to a lower speed. bowls fill up and you start all over again. you might be able to run smoothly at a lower speed where the engine sucks up gas as fast as the pump delivers it. But this is bad, very bad. your engine is running lean and will eventually self-destruct.

Mine was also doing the same. The fix for mine was the Needles were sticking that are controlled by the Floats to allow fuel to fill the bowl. I just tested it this weekend and shes running good, not great, but good (my classifaction, most would say great, just not me). And mine would run perfect all the time in the driveway, just under load the problem occured.

I have a 19' bayliner trophy CC with a force 125 my boat did the same thing witch drove me crazy i replace all the gas line and bulb the problem was in the tank where the gas line gose in the tank i hade to remove the adapter out of the tank if you remove the pick up tube there was a screen that had gum up and when you gave her the gas the bulb would suck flat i clean the screen and she run great now. I don't know if this will fix your proablem but it a start.
