Re: Force 120 hp swap for 4 cycly engine
Use the motor from the third pic in your boat.

Roscoe, I had a friend in HS that kinda did that to a Pinto. Bigblock Chev motor and GM drivetrain with the axles shortened. I moved before he finished it. Had to be scarey!

Back to the subject at hand ... I really don't think the MerCruiser thing is an option. Different hulls. Adapting a 4-st OB powerhead might be an option. You'd need some form of adapter made to match the mounting surfaces. Then a stub shaft connecting the drive to the crankshaft. Doable? I s'pose. Practical if you have to pay for it? Nope.

We should be polite and ask why you ask. Are you having problems, or just lacking power? The Force 150 might be the easiest option (except for locating one). For the most part, I'd think they'd mount right up. Just keep in mind that they used 3- and 4-cylinder powerheads on those drives. 5 might be too much for the drivetrain. I dunno. You'd have to use certain parts from your powerhead because they're considered inboards and are more spark resistant than outboard models.
