I picked up one of those mounts to raise and lower a kicker but I don’t know if I want to use it and put more holes through my transom on my Supersport. Looking at my old OMC 10 hp, I *think* it might work as far as shaft length goes,but not sure if there's enough real estate left on the transom without both motors connected to steering. I'm not going to try as it does not have tilt lock anyway.
But for discussion sake, do those of you using kickers use long shafts or short shafts on mounts and why did you go with that choice?
I'm questioning whether I can use a hi/low mount and connect it to steering. Would like to know your experiences with that if you have been successful going that route
