We also lost the speedy response like we had last night, Kogs. Maybe they switched back to

Very possible. It was about 12:15 AM forum time and the posting was about as fast as the "old days" No errors either. I'll have to take note of the forum load.

Our IT guys are also working on the database during the day, so that will slow things down a bit.

During the day? Wow ... I thought all the IT departments were required by some cosmic law to work like the shoemakers' elves in the wee hours of the morning. ;)

Um, how did we end up in the Mercruiser forum???

That's a heck of a question, NyBo. I think it was originally started in the MC forum and was moved to the Website Issues. I looked in the MC section and didn't find it there, but the header on top sure says it's in the MC forum. Mighty

Interesting for sure. I know this topic was started in the Mercruiser forum roughly a week ago, I had one of the administrative techs read it first then had them move it to the website issues because the Mod's did have the "move" tool yet form the change over. I'm sure the redirect is "still" in the Mercruiser forum. It must be picking it up from there. Just another thing to add to the fix it list.;) Thanks for bringing this up.:)

Seriously. Before i retired, the IT guys where I worked did all their mischief over the weekend. Seamless, more or less. Except for the occasional Monday morning when we came in and found the system moving at a crawl, if at all. Generally that called for going out and get the boys some giant espressos and some sugar cinnamon bagels with raspberry cream cheese for encouragement. Except for one weirdo who like salmon on his.

I've got a bunch of friends in IT, and typically they get stuck in a bunch of overnight work. It's great for the enterprise clients, but I know that I have a hard time working those graveyard hours anymore - I know a couple of them get screwed up for a day or so after.

It's the guys behind the curtain who often go unappreciated. Tryin' not to let that happen here.

Because when a Topic hits "AWESOME" status, it just leaks all over the forum! LOL

Fixed it for ya :thumb:

Gotta start practicing using the new terms & features, else we'll end up with a whole bunch of other 'How come....' Topics when the forum 'ship' gets righted

I've agreed from the beginning, yeah, it ain't perfect, but it works. Besides, I'm not paying for it, so if there are some hangups & glitches, so what? Still best moderated & complete resource boat forum around.
So lets :ban: all the:rant:, the :blah:, and all the:deadhorse: and get back to talking about boats man, yeah, boats........

Thanks Toneeees & others for your efforts

I don't like the "Like" stuff, but this one deserved a :encouragement:.
So ... I just had to check: With 2 "likes" on my post, my status is still "is on a distinguished road." I guess I was looking for some sort of progress there.

I'll echo the thanks to the staff - hang in y'all.

Normally I'm not one to rattle cages, but this bothered me. Bottom line is I DO pay for it. I'm a supporter of iBoats, both the forums and especially the store. The forums are a bi-product of us patronizing the store. This upgrade, tho getting better, sucks. Were several weeks into it, and still haveing MAJOR hiccups. C'mon.
