The original thread got closed, so here is my brief report:

Ok, it took me a LONG time to report back, but…I played with the boat all spring/summer. Here are some notes:
1. The 5.7L 350 MAG Mercruiser with 26P Bravo III drive/2.20:1: Runs strong, not weak at all. I’m sure the 8.1L is even stronger but I have no complaints with the 5.7 in this weight class and hull style.
I can pull boarders up with ease and I can throw tubers at will. The 5.7L has a nice tone when you open the Thru-Hull Corsa exhaust. With just me and the wife, trimmed up on a calm day I see about 53mph. I think I got 26 hours on her this season; I was too busy most weekends. I will do better next year!

The seating can get tight if you carry more than 6 adults. You could squeeze in 8 adults but it wouldn’t be as comfortable.
The stock head unit remains as far as the stereo is concerned. All other components were replaced. With all the new audio (4 in boat spks, 2 tower spks, 1 subwoofer, 2 amps), a drive shower, and 2 LED arch lights I walked out at $58k. I know some will think that’s high, but I couldn’t find this boat for sale anywhere in the U.S last spring and have only seen 1 other since my purchase and it was considerably higher in cost, with almost 100 hours. (Versus my 0 hours)
It is getting winterized this week and put away until Mar/Apr. Thanks for all the inputs earlier this year.

Where were you boating at in those pics? Not a lot of options out in Altus.

Beautiful boat. When you said it was tight with 6-8 people I was thinking jeeze they must be huge since it is a 23ft boat. Not really a ton of seating in that thing is there?

That was Beaver Lake near Rogers AR. I use Lake Altus when there is water in it. Lake Ft Cobb is only an hour away and it's pretty nice.

Ahh yes, been to Beaver Lake a few times. Very clear water, and cold, too!

It's a 24 footer and it can seat 8 comfortably but when you stop to hang out there isnt a lot of room to move around. My family of 6 fits pefect. ONce you add 2 more people it just gets a little crowded. Nothing major though. If I put in the filler cushion on the bow and then fill up the rest of the seats I can get 9 adults in for a comfortable cruise to a swimming hole or cove. I just don't want 8 other people wandering around the boat when I'm trying to relax lol...

Yes, its cold. Decided to dive there one day. At 20 feet it turns to ICE water. Yikes. Won't be doing that again. What are some good lakes in teh NE part of OK? Eufaula?

Grand Lake is the best spot in Oklahoma, imo, but I grew up going to that lake so I'm biased. Skiatook, Tenkiller, and Ft. Gibson are also great lakes when the water is high enough, but they've had a rough year or two with the droughts. I've never been "on" Eufala, but it is a large lake with kind of dirty water.

I think 58 k is a steal. Look at the cost out the door of a brand now 18 or 19 footer and 58k seems very cheap to me.
Do you use the sink?

True, but Beaver Lake (which we were referring to) is in Arkansas. :D It generally doesn't get cold enough (for long enough) for the lakes to freeze in this region of the country, but I've seen the coves ice over a few times. I wouldn't trust it to walk across it like you northerners do, though.

We actually did use the sink a little. Having the water storage and 2 sprayers helps keep feet/shoes washed off before people track mud into the boat. It also helps when cleaning up after leaving the lake. Sometimes we just fill the sink with ice to make for a quick grab soda or water bottle from outside the boat.
I really have no complaints about the boat. I'd like to try a 24P prop set just for fun though :)

Nice boat B10. I just bought a 2009 236 SSx and was wandering what the gauge is in the top right dash panel?

After you've been duly whipped with the cat-o-nine-tails for your infraction ;) , I would suggest starting a new topic of your own and link back to this one, or post a picture of your dash and the gauge in there. You'll probably get a more views and a better answer.

Looking at the dash, I'm not sure what it is.

On mine the top right is just a filler. Im not sure what option would have filled that slot from the factory.
